Still Feeling Warm? You’re Not Alone...

We haven’t seen rain in months. It would seem that the advice we’ve been giving these past few months remains mute, but rest assured, those winter chills will come! It’s still a smart idea to take advantage of the late change in seasons and get those furnaces in top shape. However, we have a couple things for you to keep in mind as we continue battling this unprecedentedly long “summer.”

Smoky air can be bad for your family’s house

Especially for those with allergies, the smoky air not only presents danger to those with asthma & other underlying conditions, but can also seep into your home’s ventilators, making it unsafe to even remain inside! Luckily, we have a couple different solutions.

 The   Air Scrubber by Aerus

Worker kneels beside furnace, installing an air scrubber in a basement utility room.

The what you say? The air scrubber by Aerus uses space-age technology to clean the air in your home or office. It was created with NASA to keep the air fresh and healthy for astronauts in shuttles and space stations. Just like Tang and Velcro—now it’s available for everyone - a great way to breathe better and rest easy at the same time! This air scrubber cleans the air while also cleaning pollutants and other nasty allergens from your surfaces. Surprisingly, there can sometimes be more pollutants within your home than outside. Give us a call, and a Gary’s technician can attach the unit directly to your furnace. Even when the heat is off, the scrubber will keep running while the fan function remains on.

When Can I Expect to See Results?

Clients can expect to reap the benefits about a week after beginning its use. It also comes in various sizes fit to practically any space! While the smoky air may be ending soon, it may be beneficial to keep this product in mind for next summer.

Another Interesting Innovation

Another product created by NASA and the Aerus company is the Laundry Pro 2.0, which Gary’s technicians install on your washing machine. It works with the cold cycle and utilizes hydrogen and oxygen oxidizers to clean your clothing without the use of soap. Used in hospitals and hotels for many years, the Laundry Pro is now available to anyone!

Not only will this product brighten your clothes’ colors, it will also keep whites whiter while protecting your skin from harmful detergents and dyes.

The Fire Season will be back before we can let it know it’s fired!
